I know it doesn't make sense for the people selling you these pods to tell you this, but here's some maintenance tips:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePrevent the wicks from completely burning by waiting 5 to 10 minutes on the first fill up or the pod won't last a refill without tasting burnt\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cb\u003eTop up the juice as frequently as possible\u003c\/b\u003e; a good rule of thumb is to not let it go below halfway empty if you want it to last over 5 refills without tasting burnt. If it's near empty when the coil heats up, the remaining juice will be burnt into formaldehyde giving a horrible burnt taste.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAvoid leaving your vape in heat or sunlight\u003c\/strong\u003e; this will cause the juice to steep, darken into a brownish colour and thicken, which ends up clogging the coils and prevents the cotton wick from soaking up juice.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003ePrevent as much leaking as possible\u003c\/strong\u003e by making sure the \u003cstrong\u003emouthpiece is snapped in\u003c\/strong\u003e, \u003cstrong\u003enot overfilling\u003c\/strong\u003e and by \u003cstrong\u003enot blowing air into the pod\u003c\/strong\u003e. Leaking will usually end up harming your device more than your pods so it's better to just replace or clean as much as you can before using it again.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\n\u003cstrong\u003eAvoid blinkers and chaining as much as you can\u003c\/strong\u003e, especially if the body is below half empty; it's fine and not as harmful when its full but still takes a toll on the longevity of the pod\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e(Optional) \u003cstrong\u003eUsing juice with lots of sweeteners will decrease the longevity\u003c\/strong\u003e; once they caramelize it'll prevent the wicks from soaking new juice.
